Requirements:
To effectively use this package you must have PC-DOS or MS-DOS version 3.2
or higher, Novell Netware version 2.1x or 3.x, MS-WINDOWS version 2.x or
3.0. The Netware DOS shell version 3.01 or higher. The Netware IPX/SPX
driver version 3.01 or higher.
Note: There is a problem with the extended/expanded memory version of the
Netware shell when used in conjunction with DOS version 4.x. Do not
use these versions of the shell until Novell corrects this problem.
Instead, use the low dos memory version of the 3.01 shell (NET3/NET4).
Installation:
Place the program file WOGIN.EXE in the directory from which it is to be
executed. Place the file LOGO.WMF into the server login directory.
Features:
Wogin is a multi-server login/logout utility for Novell Netware(R).
It is capable of logging a user into and out of multiple servers
simultaneously while at the same time creating drive mappings on a
per server basis.
Wogin features variable substitution (e.g. %LOGIN_NAME) for drive
path specifications, logo display, and supports all the different
modes of MS-WINDOWS 3.0.
Documentation:
We presume that you will find the WOGIN program straightforward to
use, hence this document will only cover items which may not be
ascertained through the use of the program.
If you select the USER SETTINGS icon (happy face) a dialog box will
appear that is used to create drive mappings which will be stored in
your WIN.INI file under the application heading of "WoginDriveMappings."
To display a warning message when a drive allocation fails add an
exclamation mark at the end of the drive path specification.
Unlike the Novell(R) MAP utility, WOGIN uses a numeric drive subscript
to indicate a path setting alternative. If you have access to more
than one server but login to the servers on an individual basis and
wish to create the same drive mappings use different drive
subscripts and server names, (path may be the same). The drive
subscript may also be used to create drive mappings that will take
effect only if the user has access to a designated path. To achieve
this effect include an exclamation mark at the end of the path
string.
Variable substitution may be used to insert a variable at any point
in the path string at login time.
Substitution Variables
----------------------
%LOGIN_NAME - The login or user name.
%USER_ID - The user's id number in hex form. May be used to map
to the user's mail directory.
%P_STATION - The physical station number.
%OS_VERSION - The version of dos (e.g. 3.30).
%WIN_VERSION - The version of windows being used.
Format

M1=ACMEMAJOR/MAIL:%USER_ID!
M2=ACMEMINOR/MAIL:%USER_ID
The WIN.INI may also contain a section as shown below. This must be added since
it is not created by the user settings dialog. Note that if you add this
section while using windows, the settings will take effect the next time you
enter windows.
[WoginUserSettings]
User Name=SUPERVISOR
Show Logo=5
Key_A=X
Key_B=Y
Key_C=Z
Key_D=A
Key_E=B
Key_F=C
Key_G=HELL
Key_H=O
Key_I=X4X
The "User Name" option will be ignored by the evaluation version of the
WOGIN program.
If you wish to display a company logo that is in the form of a Windows meta
file, place the logo in the server login directory and name it "LOGO.WMF."
The logo file must be less than 64K bytes in length. The "Show Logo" option
may have a value of 0-x indicating the duration in seconds that the logo
will be displayed. If Show Logo is set to 0 an attempt to load the logo will
be bypassed.
The "Key_?" option allows you to assign up to five characters to a password
key pad key.
